As a child I stood with my father outside the cinema in Sheffield, a city famed for its steel production in the North of England. I remember the cold winter fog would fill the streets and skies of the city. Within this I would see the silhouettes of people, lights of all colour and description filtering through the grey atmosphere, feel it’s busyness, it’s sense of place, it’s story.

These unique attributes I strive to bring to my work, to allow the viewer into the scene. To share those very heartfelt moments.

My escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life lies in the tranquility and beauty of the Isles of Scilly. Miles from anywhere the soft white sands and turquoise blue seas seduce, captivate and inspire. The silence is broken by gentle flow of the tide and the voice of Mother Nature. Under the Scillonian skies every note is absorbed and captured eventually being depicted on canvas.

My drive to express these many emotions on canvas has enabled me successfully to exhibit in galleries and shows including the Cotswolds, London, Cornwall, Peak District and Manchester, The Affordable Art Show Battersea, Fresh Art Show at Cheltenham Race Course.
